Just going by what's listed, does this seem like a decent price? If it is, I'm gonna say screw the Talman I'm also interested in, call the shop and see if I can put a deposit over the phone, and then pick it up when I arrive.

When I spoke to the salesperson, I asked him to level with me.
They took the guitar in over Christmas, Overall it's in good condition, missing the trem arm (but that's fine, I rarely ever need use trem), it holds tune nicely, sounds good (with Duncan Distortions, itd better), comfortable action.
FUCK YEAH!

Precise dwarf bravery
In the UK, one just went on ebay for 320 quid, that's 516 bucks! And it had no electrics.
kurt put Seymour duncan Jb on every single guitar he used.mkt3000 wrote:it appears so. But since the pickups have already been replaced, any thoughts of trying to preserve its originality never came to fruition. If the tuners suck, they're going away. This is gonna be a player (or a guitar I flip on the local market)
tuners seems replaced , maybe something not matched the replacement wish may caused the guitar going out of tune

So... update time.
I bought her, but she was not as described. However, her neck though felt so great, and she has so much potential and mojo, that I took a risk. She's got a few dings, but none in an uncomfortable place. And she was also over $100 less than the most recent one I saw listed locally in PR.
Anyway, she's an early Phase II, originally with P90's, but a pair of Duncan Distortions are wedged in place. I'm thinking of replacing the pots though, in order to brighten up the pickups a bit.
When I get the guitar home to PR and open her up, I'll have a better idea of what to do. But for now, I am just enjoying that sweet sweet neck. Pics, well later. Jet lag is killing me, and I'm going to bed.

Anyone who makes the connection obviously has a bit of Kurdtz themselves, or once did. Hi-Flyers aren't particularly notable in general. I'm sure you'd get as many/possibly less Cobain comments as with a Super-Sonic, whom people merely vaguely familiar with Kurt's choice in Fenders might mistake for one of his.Pens wrote:I soooooo fucking adore the hiflyer, if it weren't for the kurtsz stigma I'd be all over the fucking things. That was a sweep scoop, man.
