My newest guitar, not a traditional Jaguar but definitely unique and worth the money, the craftsmanship of this guitar is impressive , I love the finish, polyester , I haven't had a polyester finished jag before. The sound is beautiful , very CRISP, more so than my 97 CIJ Jag, and the action is ten times better, very low action, almost touching the intake style frets, and with the .10's stock strings, no buzzing, a little bit more sustain and echo I guess due to the F note cut out and semi hollow body, the bindings are really nice and totally go great with this guitar

I have always admired my friends Les Paul for the way the body and neck are bound but I'm not a Gibson fan at all, and I wanted to keep playing a guitar that has the sound capability like the Jaguar, and look. Now I have a Jaguar that has the classic look of flat top and back body with bindings, and the F note cut away that I always liked on guitars.

The neck bindings are a little shorter than a pre CBS or CBS bound neck and side dots are under the bindings, but I love it anyway, the finish is so perfect. I can't believe have awesome this guitar is.
I purchased it from Sweet water .com and was only 1,499.00 instead of the price I was first going to pay for 2,100.00
The original price. So I am very happy it dropped in price

Supposedly there are only 250 of these made and only 100 of them in 3 tone sunburst like mine, I am going to pretty much leave this guitar all original, no mods except I put new tuners on it, the fender vintage style kluson duosonic plastic tops buttons tuners, they look great with the bindings . I will post a newer pic later of the new tuners on it,
Here is a pic

This is about all I'm doing to this guitar as far as modding it. I was thinking about maybe changing out all the chrome with replacement parts to preserve the original chrome and tailpiece if I ever decide to sell it, as well as the PUPcovers.
Just I case I scratch up the pup covers and chrome playing, I'll have the original in plastic bags,

But this is what I did for now, "Fender Kluson vintage style tuners with off white buttons, tops, ". They match the bindings perfect and I didn't have to drill any new holes in the wood, I changed out the bushings for the nickel plated ones the set came with.

I still have the original tuners but individually bagged up like this set came, and in my gig bag, by the way, I'm glad the guitar fit in my gig bag.Basically, if you have a gig bag that fits a Jaguar, it will fit the thinline., on the other hand, a hard shell case, I'm not sure,.

The Fender "Duosonic/Mustang", Vintage Kluson style tuners, I think I'm getting rid of these though and order the REAL KLUSON plastic button tuners, these fenders don't stay in tune for sh.... I'm disappointed , and Angelasinstruments.com charged me 47 bucks
Not worth it but look good

Easily my favourite Jag ever (at least in black, but sunburst is still beautiful). Love it.

2nd time around and still up to your old tricks. No mods huh. You sure you don't want to put some blocks on that bound neck and maybe tan that headstock.

Enjoy your new guitar.

this is my new Fender Jaguar Thinline Pictures, i used Flickr this time so hopefully better luck with the pics,

i used the fender duosonic mustang tuners kluson vintage style with the off white buttons to match the bindings and pups on this guitar, although the original tuners stayed in tune much much better. These tuners are the Fender version from Angelasinstruments.com and cot 47 bucks total shipped and not worth it, i still have the originals but will use these until i get a better set from Kluson. The rep at angelas told me i can return them for new ones but i dont feel like waiting so ill keep these for now.

warm bright , both, super crispy, unbelievable, i honestly have to say i never played a jag sounding as good as this.

the action is excellent, the strings are so close to the fretboard is so easy to play chords up to the heel of the neck, and excellent sustain for a jaguar.
the reps at sweet water.com said the sustain is better due to the semi hollow body and cut away f note.

i will post a short video of my jag thin line later today, most likely on this thread, its just this thread looks a mess with all those photo bucket errors above, but i want to publish a video because the only videos i have seen are those japans dudes in japan and i don't understand them speaking. The only american video is a guy playing from pro guitars and he is doing a lot of soloing and no funk or alternative style playing
but i will try to get that done today

there should be an edit button next to the quote button at the top right of the thread window, allowing you to delete the empty photo boxes.

or a mod could clean it up.
