Just hope they don't use them for this year's "Guitar Toss".

I wonder if that scene is still in the movie? Here is a footnote to Roger Eberts review of "Thin Ice"

"Footnote: This review was written before I received a letter from Jill Sprecher, which may explain my problems with the film: "The producers and distributor of our film completely re-edited it without me. Nearly 20 minutes were cut; the structure rearranged; out-takes used; voiceover and characters dropped; key plot points omitted; a new score added. Although our names contractually remain on the film, my sister
and I do not consider 'Thin Ice' to be our work."

Now I have to wait for the Blue Ray:

"Thin Ice to be released in two versions
Blu-ray contains theatrical version and DC

The production process of the film that provokes immediate comparisons to Fargo is a bit complicated. The dark comedy starring Greg Kinnear and Alan Arkin first premiered under the title The Convincer on Sundance Film Festival and got positive reviews. After that, the distributor decided to send the film back into the cutting room in order to make it's pacing faster. They replaced the componist and the cutter and took over the process. According to StarTribune, not even director Jill Sprecher was involved in the re-cut. The result was a new version, the new title Thin Ice and considerably worse reviews.

Soon, the US will get the home cinema releases and as DVDActive reports, buyers of the Blu-ray will have the possibility to choose between the theatrical version and the director's cut. A good compromise for viewers that can now decide for themselves which version is better.

Thin Ice will be available in US retail on June 12th, 2012."
