Close, but love how that vid lead to the Techno Viking vids on YouTube, not seen any of those in ages
Anyway closet I've seen anyone pull of dubstep type drops on intruments with strings is a US band on youtube, the guitar player has a Blackberry strapped to his guitar to enable bluetooth controller etc..
I'll go try and find it now.
Found it.

Lots of Nero & Skrillex covers to enjoy..
Although I'm yet to work out why the bass player has a glove on his fretting hand on some of their videos.???
Derr... it's the same bass player as in Dave's post.

The ammount of technology toys in that room!!! and I've been trying ghetto style with just a few pedals and a kill switch to get dubstep style type sounds off a guitar for the last few months.

I know I posted this before, just can't find where. I love this thing, makes me think a lot about the beginning of enfilade by ATDI with that big sweeping bass fuzz deally.
It makes all sorts of cool pad sounds with the guitar envelope.

check a danish band called 'fukt' or something...the bass player is the frontguy sorta, last time i saw them lots of shit went wrong but dang not being a fan of dubstep i dig this band
I found a video a while back of somebody getting a very good dubstep bass sound using Moog pedals. I'm in work but I'll try to find it when I get home.
