Jag-Stang 2.0 by punkacc9, on Flickr

The Jag-Stang 2.0 is here!
It is based off of Kurdts original design with his mustang configuration and a toggle instead of the phase switches like his Jaguar.

UPDATE: The new Kurt Cobain Mustang pickguard and vibrato/bridge edited.

Not really.. It was fun to photoshop though. I found a warmoth made body on ebay the other day the same as this body and it made me want to build one. So contacted
Tim from TK Customs about making me the body and he can so i photo shopped this out of my Jagblaster design. I'll just be doing a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge
and a Fender Texas special in the neck and a toggle. Standard mustang vibrato and bridge. I may swap it out later for a dynamic bridge. But yeah.. It is simple
and my favorite combination of electronics. I did the same thing with my Musicmaster I just built. I hope to have this turn out like the picture except it will have
a Mustang neck or a Jaguar neck.

Wow that's awesome. I think I like the mustang roundness for the pickguard better though and I wouldn't really use the rythm circuit. Thats cool though. Does anybody have one of these built? I remember seeing a long time ago a similar one with a bronco style pickguard though in lake placid blue.

Yeah I feel they would be really successful. As soon as I get my body made I will be making one.

I like it. I would go for a Jag trem on there to fill out that lower portion of the body and add one more jagtribute, but I would hit it with a Stang assembly too.

I did something very similar to yours Punkacc9 a few years ago.

+1 thats the only thing i dislike about the original jagstang, the mustang trem.

This looks great though!

+1. I always thought Kurt's napkin design was far cooler than the actual production JS.

Is that the same Cross from js.com? Looks like it by the quality of build, im torn now between the 3-way and Jag switches.

Yes, I believe it is... think he posts here now and again.

I would definitely go for 3 way on a mustang lower horn, that's the only thing I think looks odd.

I love all the guitars in this thread, aside from maybe that blue/gold WRHB debacle.

Well I am going to be making this and probably do this color scheme too. I know I definitely want a candy apple red because I had a candy apple red jag and it was beautiful. What pickguard should I do though? w/b/w or creme/b/w or pearloid? Also should I post the project in a new post or continue here?

damn, i wish i had even half the skills of some of these people. i wonder how many times you need to screw up before you get something like this right!
