I wanted a Les Paul...

...so I bought this:

It's a Hondo II Les Paul Custom type. I researched as much as I could, and pulled the trigger. So far I couldn't be happier. Set neck is slim but not skinny, the original DiMarzio pickups are sounding nice through the new Laney, and the tuners are not as bad as they look. Threw some 11's (DR pure blues) and some straplocks on her this evening and she might already be good to go. Needs a bit of intonating.

Set-neck version too, nice. Looks like the old Ibanez/Aria style TOM as well.
Played with a few bands over the years that still rock the Hondo II's, they were very popular with UK Punk bands back in the day. Affordable quality.
