So hi! I stumbled upon this forum as I'm very interested in effects, and I found the madebymike site. (I shall be ordering a pedal at some point. Just haven't decided which)
But yeah, as you will see, I should fit in here nicely......

Nice shortscales, you've got a bit of everything going.

Out of curiosity what do you like the general sound of more, the Cobain Jaguar or the Cobain Mustang?

Ooh, that is a tuoughy! The Jaguar in my opinion is a better all rounder. The bucker in the bridge of the Mustang could pull down houses though. Just depends what mood you're in, or which you personally prefer.

Also, I've only had the KC Mustang for a week.....

Doesn't the KC Stang have a JB in the bridge? If so it probably sounds like my Musicmaster, which hits like a truck.

Nice guitars, you'll fit right in here.

I love the maple fretboard on that Mustang.

The cream Jaguar looks choice even with the Gold Hardware!

Welcome!
The Jag with the gold hardware- Is it a MIJ 90's model?

Loving that black maplestang!
I'm guessing it's a real '70s Mustang?
I've seen '77 reissues on eBay with the same colour scheme.

A guy in my music class had one too, he got it for a song from his local shop cos they had it in for aaaages and couldn't shift it. I guess the gold hardware isn't for everyone.

Lovely load of guitars!

Yup. Must have bought it around '96.

Yeah, think it's a '77 if I remember correctly. I once found a vintage Jaguar with what appeared to be an original maple neck/fretboard on US eBay. Unfortunately I didn't have the funds at the time. I love maple fretboards!

Yeah, I now have 2 guitars with gold hardware, and I'm not really a fan myself. When I was a kid, the cream/gold Jag was the only Jag I could find in my town. I really wanted a Jag, so I went for it.

Thanks for the welcome guys! One mistake I made is I didn't go and buy a Bronco that was for sale in Glasgow about 8 months ago. The guy wanted £400. Should have ben a no brainer, but I was slllloooowwww......

A bloke I work with has one, a (hilariously badly set up) Jag. Basswood and gold hardware - my favourite!

Welcome to the forum though :hugz:

Yeah, that guy i knew had metal washers holding the bridge up. It was awful, but of course back in the day no one really knew about setting Jags up, the sooner the bridge got gunked up the better.

Err..... nope! Just a hobby-est. Do a little home recording and the like. Don't really watch TV, or sports so I have a lot of free time to find equipment at the right price.
I would like to be in a band again at some point though. I'm currently trying to perfect my pedalboard for a live setup.
I was a massive early nineties grunge fan, which got me interested in Mustangs and Jaguars. I've also manage to score a Guild S-100 due to my love of Soundgarden, but I'll keep that for another thread!
