On a convenience level they are superb. They will stay clean up to a certain level then you have to push the gain to get more volume.

What do you think of them sound wise?

If you want just clean I wouldn't say they're the best choice. They're nice but not super loud and quite noisy for purely clean tone, I had one for a bit - the overdrive however is awesome, not all that responsive but very nice regardless.
I bought a ZT lunchbox in September and it's been a lifesaver. It has a great LOUD clean tone, and sounds awesome when used as a head.

I think mine sounds really good for a solid state head. I had it through a 4x12 at rehearsal recently and it sounded awesome, it had a load of bottom end when using an ODB3. It isn't super loud clean though, it is loud enough but a little bit more clean volume would have been great. To get the volume you need to turn up the gain, however by increasing the gain you're increasing the chance that your big muff won't like it - I couldn't increase the volume of my IC Muff as loud as I wanted as it seemed to get to a certain volume and not get any louder, just more distorted. But for a super portable head you can't really beat it.

If you want super loud super clean SS then I would say a Transtube Peavey Bandit..... they are loud as all get out and the clean is about as clean as you can get and loves pedals......the od channel is rubbish thou....
Cheap as chips, they are everywhere and are bullet proof....... 80watts or if used as a head then 100watts

Two points: 1 Will Sergeant is probably the most under rated guitarist of the 80's, and 2 these look and sound cool but they're more than double the price of the power bloc (double the power + cool looks = 2.5 times the price) out of my price range at the moment...

Keep your eye on ebay, I bought mine for £170 with the case, but it now. There are so good deals to be had, I could have paid a lot less but I needed the amp for some gigs. I've seen them sell as low as £120.

EBay lunchbox's were all too rich for me wallet, bought a power bloc... got a good deal so if I don't like it I should get my money back ebaying it...

Right so cleans are pretty crystal-clear so sound wise it seems to be what I'm after, looks a bit guff though but I knew that before I bought it, the lunchbox has turned my head a bit looks wise (especially with the Will sergeant connection) and I like the fact that it has It's own speaker so I don't have to humph a cab just to go and practice.
I'm now in a quandary I have the sound I was after, but the sad fan boy bit of my brain keeps telling me I should have held out and got a zt lunchbox... for that echo and the bunnymen vibe. Damn you Fran for posting that video!
I feel this may be going on eBay next week if my shallow fan boy brain doesn't chill out a bit...

Good man!!
I was looking at one in my local store the other day, they look like an old portable vintage radio. Hard to imagine how they kick out the volume they do. When i get back to work i will be having one.
