The Guild isn't on the couch?!

Actually surprised the KC Mustang is still there, considering your typical turn around time.

You've got yourself two 1990s power chord signature models!

The Guild that loads of forumites expressed an interest in...

exactly what i was thinking, benecol. i remember the fervor surrounding that guitar in a recent thread.

when searching for information on WTR's fernandes ric copy, I discovered a thread he started on harmony central that included the link above. a very "inspector clouseau" moment, i suppose!

A bit frustrating having been told I had first dibs (unless that was sarcasm, or said tongue in cheek). It's happened before, with his Kustom K200. Maybe it's a bit rude to call dibs on buying someone's new guitar on day 1, I don't know.

Sorry Nick, but Paragraph 9, Subsection B of the Shortcale trading agreement clearly states that all of calls for dibbs are null and void when an item is traded locally.

No worries...in fact since I'm buying a house next month it really isn't the best time for me to spend that kind of coin on another guitar.

That's a hilarious idea, calling dibbs on any new Westy guitar. Super LOLz.

FYI, I have a project K200 I am working on, but I am taking forever. There aren't too many of them around though.

Les Paul Juniors are the bestest. Not even Green Day can fuck them up. Well, maybe the pickup, but you can change that.

I actually like the BJA the best design-wise right now because it's closer to the '50s singlecut juniors than the last crop of fadeds/current crop of obeches, which have a more LP Standard-influenced heel at the cutaway.

Thanks! I bought a Gibson "Super Vintage" P-90 for it.

Image

my guitar is a 2006 the color looks more yellow like a 1959 Junior

Image

The 56 Junior(left) had a more orangey sunburst

ImageImage

Gibson changed the color in 2009 to look more like a 1956(Floyd is a '56)

I has one of those in a Junior too. Mine came from a Custom Historic guitar.
Sounds huge, and by backing the tone down to 4-5 to cut the twang a bit it sounds a lot like a PAF. While I find this true of most P90s with the tone knob around half, the Gibson one actually sounds like my Burstbucker Pro when you do it, which is cool.
Not as jangly a pickup as a GFS dogear (which is great, have one in my other Junior), but definitely not without single coil chime, and it's got a lot more oomph.

The P100 is a dummy coil P90, the H90 has the second coil fully active for full-on humbucker status. They are physically identical apart from the second winding, I think.

A-ha.

Sounds like that would really drive an amp, thanks for the info.
