Argyle has a blog type thing
Hi Guys,
I just started a blog, it's only just got going so there isn't much there to be honest (it would help if I knew what I was supposed to do with them really). However I have managed to get a couple interviews with bands such as Cancer Bats and iForward Russia! and should have more to put up in the coming days and weeks including ones with bands Seahaven, Joyce Manor and Author Dave Simpson, among others.
Hoping to do some reviews and stuff this week so thought I'd post here incase anyone wanted to check it out.

Hi again,
Sorry to bump this and thanks to everyone who's had a look, much appreciated.
Anyways thought I'd just say that there's a short chat up on the blog with the author of The Fallen, Dave Simpson. Basically he went around the country trying to track down every member of the band The Fall and he was kind enough to let me ask him a few questions. Might be of interest to some.
Thanks

Wotcha, how are you promoting it? Are you spamming it on twitter/Facebook/etc? Just keep doing what your doing, find out who does PR for the type of bands you want to cover and get on their mailing lists. Some interesting things on their, I'd be happy to do some spreading the word for you so drop me a PM

Thanks man, to be honest I haven't promoted it at all apart from putting it on here.
I just thought I'd send some questions to people i like but I might spread the word a bit more if people think its worth it.
As I said I got some more chats coming up with bands like Joyce manor and seahaven so that should be good.
I'll definitely pm you though and thanks again.

Hi everyone,
Again sorry to post this here but incase anyone is interested I've decided to focus on trying to write about bands from my local area, Gloucestershire, and in particular The Forest of Dean.
First up is a hardcore punk band and to be honest it will probs be mainly along these lines in future although I will try and branch out as much as possible. Check them out though if you're interested in that type of thing, they have some gigs coming up as far away as Blackburn!
Also just had a chat with Matt from the band Joyce Manor so that will be going up in a couple days, for anyone who hasn't heard them they sound like this:

Thanks

Hi everyone,
Again I'm sorry to post this but thought as I'm getting quite a few views some of you may be interested (and it is the whore house after all so I'm whoring myself as much as i can). The local band I profiled the other day have just released their latest e.p. It may not be to many's tastes but some here may appreciate.
You can download it for free from the blog or here at their bandcamp.
Thanks again.

Right, here I am again whoring myself out in the whore house but so be it.
Got a chat up with Matt Ebert from the band Joyce Manor who i put a link to above. They're awesome in my opinion, remind me of some ways of a weezer-ish type band but with some great punk hooks. They're from California and when I listen to them this is the single biggest thing I think of, how much they sound like they're from that part of the world. The music just fits the place I suppose.
Anyways in case none of you can be bothered to scroll up but still wants to check it out heres the link.

Will be focusing on UK music again soon with a bit about a band Egos At The Door, very kind of math-rock meets Less Than Jake meets Every Time I Die, really fresh, really good.
Thanks again.

I feel a bit bad keep posting updates in here as I'm sure people probs get a bit sick of it but it's nice to be able to share these things in a community.
Check it out, thanks for the advice you gave as well, definitely took it on board, decided to focus on what I know and my local area and hopefully people will be interested to read it.
Thanks

Okay so last day of the week gave me a chance to put a post up on the blog: http://mypodyourpod.blogspot.co.uk/
It is a little bit with Ed from the band Egos At The Door from Blackburn. They're a strange band in many ways, encompassing a lot into one package. (reminding me a great deal of Dillinger Escape Plan in some aspects) Obviously in common with the rest of my blog they are a little shouty but it's good to keep to the music i like for the time being I think.
Anyways hope no one gets too annoyed with me posting it up in here again but hopefully if you enjoy it, keep checking it out and I should have more stuff soon.
Thanks again

Hi, me again.
Just got a post with a band called Pianos Become The Teeth to let you know about. Really awesome band and really nice guys too, over here in August, described by many as post-hardcore, screamo etc which is mostly correct, but there are some really cool chilled out, atmospheric moments to be found on their albums. Their lyrics are incredibly personal, probs not a band to send you to sleep but one I think a few of you might be intrigued by. Check them out to see the rickenbackers in action, if nothing else.

Right,
I haven't actually posted anything new since Pianos Become The Teeth if I'm honest. But I do now have a twitter account, set up today so not much going on but just wondered if anyone wanted to follow me. Its http://twitter.com/mypodyourpod
Also to anyone who didn't bother checking the blog but wanted to know what Pianos Become The Teeth sound like, please find below. Bristol 5th August along with Balance and Composure and Seahaven, £10 a ticket, The Fleece. Should be awesome.

Sorry to bug you all again. Yeah Stewart I really enjoy them, obviously some people wont but thought I'd post it up anyways, especially as they're playing at The Fleece in Bristol, thought some may want to have a gander. I like the contrast between the pretty unsettling lyrics and screaming with the atmospheric, rather quite clean at times guitaring.
Anyways got an interview up with Crooks, young band from Cheltenham, don't sound young to me though, is it just me or are bands a lot more professional these days? Merch, artwork, promo photos etc all done and dusted before they're playing venues of any size.
Back to it, they have a big sound, bigger than you'd expect a bunch of young lads to make. Check it out.

Hi guys,
Thanks Doog, I only started it because I had to show it in a job interview to show I was up with the social media cool cats but now it seems to be going well I thought I'd best keep it going.
Managed to get on some lists with a few press officers and record labels so got quite a few promo things lately. Silver Snakes album is up streaming on the site at the moment, very At The Drive-In type sound, but really really cool. Check it out if you want to.

Thanks for being cool with me posting all the time on here.
