"The Offset" Build

So the Jag-Stang 2.0 is halfway done. Time to start another custom/concept build? Yeah, why the hell not? haha I had a concept I threw around now for a while and even made a template for it. Tried to have it built before but no success. But I came back to it and changed it up now. I took a tracing of my 69 reissue mustang and my 95 jag-stang and morphed them together. Mustang horns with a Jag-Stang butt. A super offset mustang lol. The original template was yellow and I planned a black pickguard. I thought yellow might be cool but I'm still undecided about the colors.

Here's the original template made a few years ago..

The Mockup with what I was going to do.. Jag-Stang 2.0 now.. lol and the same as my musicmaster

Sooo after that it was ditched it was revisited by me last week where I came up with this using my old musicmaster pickguard.
The Mustang Offset 2.0 haha

I don't know if I like the color anymore, so I'm going to do a white/black/white pickguard now with black pickup covers. What color should I do the body?

I also ditched the toggle switch and will just do all the switching with the mustang phase switch. 3 single coils. The phase switch I thought would look cool up in the top corner because there is soo much space there.

Here's the switching positions if you can understand it. I wrote on a napkin at a bowling alley lol.

I had to morph a mustang and musicmaster pickguard to get exactly what I wanted. The bronco/1970 musicmaster pickguards have that gap between it and the vibrato and it's so open. I made my template so it will be snug against the vibrato. Looks nicer I think.

The old template of the body was beat to hell so I redid that too.

Here's them together.

I'm having Cooterfinger do this body as well. He's extremely talented with body making. I'm trading him my 1966 mustang body for this body and a custom pickguard.

Leave me a suggestion for colors.

Final mockup looks good. The Bronco pickguard is a good match for that body.

Years ago, back on Jag-Stang, we were going to get a batch of guitars made from a chinese plant. That fell through, however, this is pretty damn close to the body we were going to use.

Really? Was it my design? I was on Jag-Stang for a long time and I gave up on it cus no one really went on it anymore.

Decided to change up design again. I don't like the jag-stang offset anymore. Gonna use a jag offset. So here's what I'm going for!

yes! but instead of two humbuckers it should be 1 humbucker and 2 single coils. and the neck upside down just like jimi h. that would be awesome!!!!
and the body and pickguard a little bit bigger than a mustang and the super-sonic so it would look nice with the pickups.

I don't understand the body shape you want though.

I had an idea for a similiar guitar using the Jag-stang 2.0 body. Are you using Mustang pickups?

I'm not sure what pickups I'm using yet. All I have currently is a mustang bridge pickup from a 65 reissue

Nice work, I like your design. I always thought the Jagstang shape was a bit awkward looking. To my eyes your shape is a much more harmonious and practical mash up.
