Can anyone verify the wire colors for the neck and bridge pick ups? I ordered a set and they're both black and white colored wires. Isn't one supposed to be black and yellow???

There have been different runs of Mustang and other Japanese Fenders over the years, and two separate "MIJ" runs separated by "CIJ", which all brought minor changes here and there. The yellow wires I most frequently and consistently see are on import vintage reissue tele pickups, such as the '62s or '70s thinlines/customs (which I believe all used the same "classic" model bridge pickup from a recollection of the official parts list/spec sheet for both).
These are newer Japanese Mustang pickups that all have black/white wires for both neck and bridge

They're probably legit, there isn't enough of a profit margin to rip people off for Japanese Mustang pickups.

Yeah, the bridge should be a bit hotter.
Also, the '65 RI pickups w/ the cloth wires are definitely different looking from the rest of the Mustang pickups from Japan.
