I always keep an eye on Rose Pickups' page (great pickups for not much money) and have just spotted that they've started making humbucker-sized Jazzmaster pickups - thought some of you might be interested; link here.

They sound great. Alnico 2, 3 or 5 as well. I'd love a set of 3s in something.

That's an alternative to a humbucker-sized P-90, isn't it? I was considering that route if I were ever to get an Epi ES and swap out the stock neck unit, but since I know where I am with JM pups I might do that instead.

@Benecol: I know what you mean. If I've thought "I'd love a JM pickup in a humbucker guitar..." I'm assuming zillions of other people have thought about it already!

They're the only manufacturer doing it, to the best of my knowledge. Bet a JM pickup would sound lovely in a semi-hollow.

No, not sarcastic at all.

I'd love to give Jazzmaster sounds a go but think I'd rather have a Jaguar that a Jazzmaster so I'd never buy one, and can't see myself having space anywhere that I'd be willing to put a full size Jazzmaster pickup.

Would there be a problem with spacing putting a Fender spaced pup in an Epi Sheraton for example?

That's like calling a wah pedal "The Segovia"

No bigger problems than using an F-spaced pickup on a Squier or Japanese Fender (neither of which are technically F-spaced). And then the neck pickups on Fender guitars require a narrower spacing anyway. Newer US Gibsons have a wider stringspread/polepiece spacing than the older ones/Epis too. It's not just A and B anymore.

I'm thinking of picking up a set of these for an ES-355 project I'm working on
