Well, I only got about an hour with it, but I was impressed. The pics don't do the finish justice. It's beautiful in R/L with an almost greenish tinge to the pattern. The pickups give that classic Tele sound, with plenty of beef in the neck pickup. Quickly jammed it with a MIJ DS-1 and a vintage spec fuzz face pedal. (Dingotone VFZ) Sounded awesome. Neck is a great shape, with a really nice feel. Setup really well, and was in tune out the box?
They've really churned out an instant classic in my opinion. Looks nice, sounds great and plays wonderfully. If you're considering it, I'd just go ahead and pull the trigger. Especially Stateside (or Canada). Looks like you guys are getting it for $500ish. I was nearer the equivalent of $670 (£456).

I really want to like it, but there's something off.

You know what, I think you're right. I kind of want to see a straight silverburst tele now.

I wish they'd done it on a vintage style tele like the pink paisley and blue flower (or even that copperburst FSR). I think the 1-ply blackguard would suit it.

The Dumbass mod, gained a lot of popularity last decade for some reason.

yeah... some shit about volume swells right. except that you can do volume swells with the plate the right away around anyway. pointless mod is pointless.
