Can I replace the 2 point strat-like trem on my Squire Jagmaster? I've heard there's some differences, I just want to make sure that I can.

Almost certainly. I'm presuming you'll want an 'asian import' style trem with metric measurements rather than USA Imperial. Guitar Fetish do both kinds as do most aftermarket vendors. To be double sure though, whip out your ruler and check the measurements between centre of the poles and compare to the replacement specs on vendor websites. It's almost cerrtainly metric though..

Sounds good, thanks man. I was going to order a Babicz for it. It's my baby, I've upgraded the damn thing likely more than I should've.

I wouldn't try it, personally. Maybe change the saddles, but I don't see the point.

You may have to remove the posts, fill the holes and then hope the new bridgde covers it up.

There's the other part where the thickness of the guitar is an issue. If you're going to go as far as remove the posts and fill the holes, might as well just get a vintage style bridge IMO.

If you are looking to upgrade what about replacing it with the Blade Runner or Super V? I have a silver sparkle Jagmaster that I've modified everything (locking tuners, graphite nut, Seymore Duncan SH-59 pickups, graphite saddles, .022 capacitors, Fender 1meg audio taper pots, stainless steel tremolo block-that I had to grind down to fit, painted the cavities with shielding paint and applied metal tape shielding to the back of the pickguard) with the exception of completely replacing the tremolo. I am considering a Super V for it in the future.

This is the most important improvement, though:

Obviously.

Might just try new saddles, that's really my only complaint with it. Any suggestions?

The Japanese ones have the 2 7/32" vintage spaced 6-screw trem. The first Chinese ones have the twin-synchronous 2-point trem. Newest ones have a 2 1/16" 6-screw trem.

I'll drop in some EMG's and make a METALMASTER

My CAR Jagmaster had the 2 point trem, but the wood was cracked around one of the posts so I couldn't use it.

i've come back around to liking emg's. used to use them all the time but then fell in love with the warmth of passives. what i am appreciating about them now is i find they just cut through anything with such great precision. in the right circumstances, they're wonderful, but i admit that i did overdo it early on in my guitar playing. i'm glad i kept one guitar around with them in it.
