So, at the end of the summer, I'm getting rid of some of my pedals. I've collected WAY too many. I have 5 fuzz boxes. 6 OD pedals. And like... no modulation.
I'm going to sell a few of those and grab a delay and maybe a Rainbow Machine and build a photosensitive expression pedal.
But with that extra money, which new Squier should I grab? The Jag or the Stang?
I've got an incoming NGD with a super cool JM, so I've got that covered. I've played a few jags and they're really cool, but the feel of beating around a 'stang sounds cool too. I play either with ridiculous amounts of fuzz, or SUPER clean.

While the JM and Jag are very different in sound and scale, personally I'd go with the Stang to round out your collection rather than get two rather similar guitars. If you end up preferring the shortscale feel of the Stang more, then you might end up getting a Jag later, but for now I'd suggest picking up a Stang to give yourself something a bit different than the JM.

The only problem I have with mustangs is that I'm 6'2 and 230 lbs. I'm not small. They look like toys on me.

Pros: larger body, cool sounds
Cons: I don't like the switching, might be redundant with my JM.

Definitely a Jaguar if you're concerned about guitars looking small. Jaguars are short scale but still large-ish guitars. I always think Firebirds suit taller gents as well.
These are made of basswood so you'll still be able to throw it around.
EDIT: And the trem is fucking awesome.

Okay, yeah that changes my response then. I'm a small dude and the Jag is quite big for me. I prefer the Stang size instead. If the Stang seems tiny to you, then go for the Jag.
Best advice I could give then is to just go to a Guitar Center and play one of each and see which one feels okay.

Taller. Buy a Mustang - JM and Jag woud be too similar.

I'm of the opinion that Jaguar's cover a little bit more ground sonically than Mustangs. Don't worry about the look though. All kinds of huge Hawaiian dudes play soprano ukuleles and they look cooler than I ever could.
That said, I'm pretty much exclusively a Mustang and Duo Sonic player(bad elbow means 3/4 scale). At first I thought I looked like a big fat baby playing them but I got over it.

I am about the same size you are and I love to play Mustangs and Broncos. They are sexy and play great. I would go Mustang since you already have the other guitars. It's not how it looks to others, but how it plays and sounds to you.
