Anyone watch "Picked Off" On The History Channel last night? The Hondo II with Travis Bean pickups is up for auction (link)

What do you think that guitar is worth? "the experts" on the show who evaluate the contestants purchases said the guitar was only worth about $100 but the value was in the Travis Bean Pickups so they paid the 2 girls who bought the guitar $600.
As far as I know you can only find those pickups on a Travis Bean Guitar and those sell for $3000-$7000.

it's hard to say because Travis Bean pickups rarely pop up for sale.
I love the way those guitars sound but it has to be more in the neck than the pickups.

Yeah,have you seen King Buzzo's Guitar It's like an all aluminum Travis Bean
Here's my one. It's met grey, not as light in colour as the pic suggests.

I like EGC's guitar enough but I would never spend that much money on one since I want that rosewood/ebony board and it would always feel like settling . . . and that's an expensive guitar to 'settle' on.
