PEAVEY SOLO PORTABLE SOUND SYSTEM...a practice amp?

Anyone familiar with Peavey's SOLO Portable Sound System? It's advertised as a generic 15 watt PA amp but some guitarists use it as a practice amp.

I found one in a colleagues' closet that I could have for 25 USD. I haven't played through it yet...we're looking for the AC adapter (a new adapter would cost $40).

Thanks,

Yeah, they're just keyboard amps with an XLR jack anyway. It's not ideal though as guitars are much lower than line level, and it surely won't be too inspiring a sound anyway.

I'd just source your own adapter that fits, like at an electronics surplus or a generic one at a computer/stereo store or Target/Walmart.

Thanks, Paul. This is very helpful. Don't need a no-tone amp even if it were given to me.

Cheers,
