I know it is solid state and all, but I tried it out at Guitar Center today and picked it up new for $92. (I had a cupon.) I wanted a smaller amp for my desk area so when kids are doing their thing I can still play and something that sounded good that I could take with me easier than my huge twin. The reverb sounds really nice and the overdrive chanel is also very cool. I like that you can set the main volume for the drive chanel so that you can swith it on and match the clean volume. Very cool. Here are pictures. The first brand new amp I have picked up since high school.

Those are great amps, I have the red one.

The one I tried in the store was red, but the one in back new was black. Looked like my other Fender, so I was cool with it. Compaired to the other amps in the same price range, this was a no brainer for me. I tried Line 6, Orange, Acoustic, etc and just liked the sound of this one best.

i know this is "old news".. but yeah.. i swear buy my 212r. I'd get one of these if i didn't have a vox pathfinder 15r...

I agree.. it's nice to have a clean channel and an overdrive channel that's approximately the same volume. I never could get the clean and drive of a single channel close -always that huge difference, it seems.

It is rough to do well without a volume pedal or compressor maybe to even out the loud for sure.

I had one and it was fucked or something. Sounded way too icepicky. It made humbuckers sound like single coils. The only way I was able to play it without my ears bleeding was to put my Behringer Vintage Distortion in front of it to cut out a ton of the treble and thankfully, it worked good enough.

Must have been. I get very good sound out of mine.
