Volume issue with a Mustang

I've got the PANK mustang from a trade with Haze. Now, I got it set up recently and got the wiring figured out, but now there's a major drop in volume compared to my other guitars. I have a 65RI neck pickup and a DiMarzio HS-3 in the bridge and I still think that I should be getting more output than I am. I've opened her up and nothing seems to be out of place. Do I just have weak pickups?

Any tips or help from the collective SS.org brain would be great. Thanks.

Volume is relative to pickup height and pickup output.

Bust out a meter and measure the pickup output and then measure the pickup output at the jack.

65 RI is not a particularly loud pickup, but adjust pickup heights closer. Because the pole pieces aren't exposed on a Mustang, there's a chance you have the pickups lower than you would on other guitars.

DiMarzio HS-3 is technically a humbucker and sounds infinitely better, louder and clearer with 500k pots, if that hasn't been done yet.
