That's an ace idea, will looks amazing when you've got it all put together. I really love thinline telecasters.

Love the looks.

But aren't VM Thinlines 24.75" scale...If you know what I mean?

Conversion neck originally on those thinlines, previous owner had 25.5 neck working w/o issue

slight change in plans, decided to use a jag neck pick up as it will fit the guard better (sjag2, not sure if neck or bridge, but meh), talking with pick guardian about a pick guard. unfortunately the guard is proving tricky, from checking forums, fender seem to think the squire guard is the same as the fender 69 thinline guard, but tony from pickguardian almost guarantees its different. I am trying to track down the original from the previous owner to see if i can get a tracing or the guard sent to pick guardian. if anyone else has experience with one of these and can provide some insight, feel free.

aaaaanyways, the other guitar is another squier tele, this one will be getting lace pickups, but I am deciding on a guard, which of the below...

also more info on the thinline body, turns out it is actually 24 3/4 scale BUT they came with a shorter bridge, so if you get a 25.5 neck and a vintage style bridge, it apparently works out to 25.5 w/o needing to re-set the bridge (according to some fender forum). either way, taking the bridge plate of mine showed the movement of location for a mustang style bridge, fun times.

needs some work, but I think it looks good, the RIAA communist sticker adds to it.

Dude, I was seriously thinking of putting a Jazzmaster trem on a telecaster one of these days. Or maybe put on in the Danelectro build i plan to do with my dad.

Pick guard came in, needs some holes redrilled and the pickup has to move slightly, but it looks perfect.

Finished, still not 100% sold on the middle position, but the volume is a push/pull with a strangle switch, the good news is that it plays great and the bridge works perfect.

Shit pic, but been trying stereo out a bit

B&b JM with dearrmonds, a cyclone with a mustang guard and 2 tele bridge pick ups, and a 70's style sage-green metallic strat.

I just saw this thread. I could have mailed you my pickguard (Winnipeg to Calgary!). Glad it worked out.
I am a big fan of those conversion necks that come with the VM Squier Thinlines:
