Out of phase pickups

FUCK THIS FUCKING SHIT

GFS wire their pickups with reverse polarity or something. Basically they are out of phase with a lot of other pickup brands when wired normally. The common cure is said to be to swap the hot and ground wires. Problem is this means the pickup is outrageously buzzy to the touch as live is now connected to a ground wire somewhere.

Is there a way round this? I can't find a way to do it.

I've wired in GFS pickups many times without this problem. You just switch the hot and ground.

It sounds like your ground is fucked. Try re-soldering it?

I swapped hot and ground, resoldered, looked for a jumper and nothing. Really fucking me off actually. It's a Strat single coil, not a Tele or bucker with a noticeable base plate jumper, if that makes any difference.

I've not had this problem before, normally just reversing ground and hot has worked for me. Hopefully someone more knowledgable will chime in and help out.

Have you guys been alright with strat pickups though? Humbuckers and anything with a baseplate would be easy to move the jumper on. I cannot for the life of me find it on these.
