Nowt too exciting, thought I'd just share some sounds my newwwwwww Behringer GDI21 pumpz out.

The amp sims on my Zoom R16 were just sounding kinda wooly and mushy on home demos when using outboard distortion and this thing is flexible out the WAZOO.

Plus it's a DI box with XLR out and a ground lift; all fer 30 quid. Nice one, Tech 21 Behringer.

Thats cool, I'm looking at getting the acoustic DI as these things look pretty nifty.

Is that a copy of the gt2? (I can't see the video as I'm at work) cause if it is I WANT ONE!

Fairly impressive. Great selection of tones for the moola!

That's the guitar version of the bass one I used to use in Pancakes! Amazing pedals.

Yuppers, exact same controls, plus a Ground Lift (which may be an internal DIP or something on the Tech 21).

Didn't teh Kurdtz use the GT2, thinking about it? Silly Kurt, using amp sim into an amp. Heroin will do that to you.

Nah he had the Classic.

I had the GT2 for quite a while, kinda regret selling it now.

This came today, it's made a drastic improvement to my tone. I'm impressed. It also seems like it's put together well.

Demo of the acoustic di, sounds less subtle in person - I didn't really capture how much it alters the tone too well.

Finally got round to ordering one of these (£26)... as I need a quiet way to do teh jamz with a baby sleeping close by. Had a look at a comparison vid with the gt2 on YouTube not much difference and definitely not £170 worth of difference.

I'd like to update my opinions on the acoustic di. It's a pretty close clone of the sansamp paradriver (just without drive I think) and it's a really useful pedal. I've done quite a lot of live work with it since I bought it and it's been really very useful. It works well on acoustic and amazingly on bass thanks to the sweepable mid frequency knob. The xlr out is also fairly noise free and does a pretty good job.

I'll see if I can get a video from a live performance where I've used the di as it makes a huge difference to the sound of an acoustic guitar - just sounds like my acoustic mic'd up.

I'm gonna order one of each I think. My band has been playing a lot of small open mics where only fools try to bring their own amps and they would really help us out with both setup time and sound.

Got mine yesterday and it’s going back tomorrow. I might have got a duff one but the shear amount of static FIZZ this thing gives off renders it useless.

I quite like the Mesa-Boogie setting on the copy of the GT2 Sansamp that I have (pictured below). I bought on a whim for about £45. On the back it says ''Made in Western Siberia". How cool is that? It adds to tone, y'know.

Which is just AMT's fancy version of this:

Another shameless knock-off?

posting between topics now... I bought a joyo american pedal to replace the behringer as I'd probably use the tweed setting most of the time anyway.

Kurt had a great tone so youre just jealous to not get the same sound?

Of course, aren't we all?
