discuss...any body use something like these?

I'm interested more in the solid neck body joint rather than any blah blah sound improvement.

I remember reading about them in one of Dan Erlewine's books. I thought they look like a good idea, especially if you want to take the neck off your guitar to travel and that kind of thing.

Yeah good idea for flyers and travellers. I'd definitely consider them. The threads in the wood won't last for ever.
