My friend Jason asked me to make a pickup for his Jag-Stang that would sound close to his Vintage Tele Deluxe. After spending some time accounting for differences in mass, density, and scale, here is what we came up with. Let me know what you think.

Sounds good! What type of magnet did you use? Did you have the pole pieces themselves be the magnets or just a bar on the underside?

Sounds pretty solid, not identical, but close enough, with its own character.

I agree, the TurtleBoy definitely has a slightly different character. I'd love to be able to compare the original 71 WRHB to the TurtleBoy in the same guitar, or a guitar with a similar density and bridge.
