Hey, new to the forum here

Just got a quick question

Would you guys consider $1500 a decent price for a Musicmaster II in pretty good condition (a few small dings and a little bit of buckle rash on the back)?

Thanks a bunch!

I just got a Musicmaster I for $450 that was in good shape. I guess it depends on how much you want it. I have seen them for cheaper.

A few things change the value a little. 24" scale is worth more than 22.5", daphne blue more than the other two colours. And the more original it is the better, with the possible exception of the bridge saddles having been changed for compensated brass ones.

That price sounds insanely high. Like, higher than -eBay douche lips posting the same way overpriced guitar as "buy it now" for 6 years running and not understanding how money and economics work- high.

Likely being sold by someone who resents getting ripped off for it years ago.

"buy this Duo II for $1000; at current vintage Fender appreciation rates it'll be worth $2000 by 2008 barring some unforeseen economic disaster, amirite"

That's a terrible price. You can find vintage Musicmasters for around $700 buy it now. So it could be even less if you bid on it against other people. Also you can get a reissue Mustang for around $600 buy it now.
