I almost bought an Epi 339, but it was taken away :(

What can I say... I got rid of my two Gibson style guitars (My 333 and my DiPinto Belvedere), not because I didn't like them, but because I wanted something a little more versatile (especially since my entire arsenal is Fender-only at the moment, with my Guild still not ready), and 2 HB + 2 coil splits is more variety than either the 333 or the DiPinto offered.

It's a used one from Music123. They had this one, and an Epi Wildkat as well, and while I think the Wildkat is seriously cool, I would feel out of place using it live unless I were in a rockabilly band. Anyway, the price was right, the shipping was reasonable, and the only cosmetic issue is chipped binding on the neck-treble side. I've already called my luthier to take care of it, and the price on that is right as well :D

Hopefully it'll be here in a week, but they aren't very specific with the shipping method until it arrives, so it could be over a month before it's in my hands. Either way, I'm excited :D

So far, the only things I'm looking at for it are a hardshell case and maybe down the road, after I've had it for a while and decided to keep it, a Dirty Fingers in the bridge.

Awesome, I had one but sold it pretty soon after... purely because I'm a Fender fan-boi, and bought it on finance to build up my credit.

Best thing Epiphone (& Gibson) have released in years.

You can get the genuine Epi case for these, which are nice and in keeping.

Which colour did you get ?

NICE !! Never liked my streaky fretboard but doesn't look too bad on Natural. Mine was black.

Some folk would love that though.

Godfuckingdamnit... I broke the only NGD rule - Don't post about NGD until the guitar is in your hands.

Someone sniped it from me as my order was being processed, and it went into backorder.

And what happens when you backorder something that's sold out? You get a refund.

So boo! No guitar. But yay! I can order from the adult menu tonight.

Shit dude, that is awful. It sucks ass imagining all the cool shit you'll be playing on a new guitar and then having it get pulled out from under you.
