I didn't order the screws to fix them, but I'm now wondering what the best method would be anyway. The cab has four holes per speaker hole drilled already into the deepest part of the wood on the baffle (it has struts across the front keeping the grill cloth flat). Will four screws into wood keep these things secure? I'm planning to really push them so I want to make sure they don't just explode or something (coz they do that, right? loldontknowwhatimdoing). I've looked at other screw and nut combos but I'm not sure how they'd work without being able to remove the cloth from the baffle to mount them.

Any advice would be welcome.

I think the speaker cones would probably blow before you melt the screws fixing them to the cab.

4 screws has always worked for me. Did the speakers come with little foam pads to put between the cab and the speaker?

The rings on both sides on the speaker are lined with foam already, but beyond that all that came in the box were the wires to wire them up. Which is another question; The wires clip onto the speakers tightly. Is that sufficient, or do I need to solder them on? A friend said solder the wires to the plug but just clip them to the speakers.

I was about to ask that too !!! ^^^

Don't do what I did, fit the speaker to find I had forgotten to apply them, and then had to pull it all apart again and reassemble. I gathered that might be quite important.

Wires clipped in have always worked for me, but then I never play at ear bleeding volumes. I'd try it without and if you find they fall out then solder then.

Where did you order those from? I want to pick up a Cannabis Rex for my Rivera but the big dealers I'm used to don't stock Eminence.

MOST speakers are attached with spade connectors (even in cabs), the basket/magnet is not going to vibrate enough to knock that shit off. Soldering is going to be more reliable, but also makes it tougher to swap speakers and if you don't make a solder joint, then fuck your speaker might loose connection which would potentially cause problems if your using a tube amp (no load uuughhh).
