NGD - Epiphone Riviera P93

I just got offered a modded Epi Riviera P93 for my 79 Vibro Champ. The one I only paid $80 for :D

The mods on the Epi are all cosmetic. The seller is a friend of mine, who like me (and most of this board), is a fan of shortscales, offsets, but not a fan of gold hardware. So he swapped all of the gold hardware out for Chrome, including an unbranded Bigsby.

I went ahead said yes, and the trade should happen this weekend.

I love me some P90's, but this has three, and I happen to have a pair of GFS Vintage Split Widerangers at home that are doing nothing. I'm already thinking of moving the bridge pickup to the middle, and putting the GFS pickups in the neck/bridge.

I think it plays like my sheraton II (yeah lots of gold) and if it does then i'd do it for sure. I love mine. Good luck!

She's here, she rocks, she stays as is. The Widerangers can find another home

New strings and a polish when I get back home on Wednesday. I'm staying at my parent's house due to elections on Tuesday (I vote in their district).

A friend of mine who works at the local Gibson/Epi dealer hooked me up with an Epi hollowbody gigbag for $15, so that's her home until I buy a hardcase.

Seems a bit limited, a fourth pickup would have been nice.

Love the finish.

I always played one of those at the local guitar center. epi semis have always impressed me; they're hard to beat when it comes to value.

They are great guitars but out the box they play f-ing horribly . After a good look over and a setup they're a dream . I was considering one over a Casino for the versatility of the 3 p-90s . Good deal . Enjoy it .
