Guitar Straps

Post by Gabriel »

What do you guys use?

My main strap is a comfort strapp. It's super wide and padded, and short!

Then I just have a generic 3" wide levys poly strap, and some of those leathergraft leather straps.

I'm looking at getting either a soulder strap or a jaykco next.

So what are you guys using?

A red Dimarzio Cliplock. I don't play standing up very often and often have a headphone cable trailing off my head so it's really convenient.

Regular-ass Ernie Ball black nylon strap. Nothing fancy.

I've recently replaced all my straps with real leather straps, a red, a white and a black one. They're only plain, but I love the smell of leather.

I've got the tweed Fender ones from HNB's post on my Jag and Mustang, a black and white Fender one on my Venus and a brown leather Epiphone one on my Dot. My Jag bass and Yamaha are currently strapless.

Always liked the look of those Couch ones so might pick one up at some point.

One of the big problems with being not that tallest of guys but also playing guitar quite high is that most guitar straps are too long. I love the look of Couch straps, but when I emailed them they said they would not make one of their straps shorter. Jaykco offered to make me a strap at whatever length I'd like and they have amazing customer service! I haven't checked the length of Souldier straps nor have I contacted them, but as they are customisable I assume you can have them made a little shorter.

For my next strap I think I'm going to order a silver and black paisley Jaykco:

Couch straps... mostly due to convenience. There's a store on the first floor of my building that sells recycled products, including couch straps!
