A good friend of mine from years back here in Korea (originally from Kelowna, BC) is a Telecaster aficionado and has been putting together a small collection of really nice custom-built instruments as both time and finances allow.

He just FB messaged me and send these shots of his latest completed order, a custom guitar built by a dude name Danny Hines. With topside binding, an aged Shoreline Gold finish, Klein Fatman (overwound like a P90) bridge pickup and notched Tele bridge plate + B5, it seems to have all the elements for win in a really pretty package.

very cool idea but the pickguard seems off and the forearm wear always look fake, IMO.

Boo relicing. Otherwise, that is pure class.

Tough crowd!

But yeah, the body curves look a bit off and the relicing isn't very nice.

What I don't like about telemasters is the clumsy control plate, which spoils the curves of the body. I even think it looks mildly unfortunate on telecasters, it's a pretty caveman-like solution. On this body shape it's just daft.

I like that a lot ....telemasters don't normally do much for me but that is busy enough to hold my attention. This is the same guy that goes by 'Danocaster' on Offset yes? His relics are normally pretty immaculate (if you get my meaning).

Yeah, I like it. Deffo
