I've no idea the best UK price but judging by a google shopping search it looks to be around £140 ($225). If you could buy one here for $100 (£63) I'm sure half the board would have one already.

As so James so eloquently demonstrate: that price is no brainer.
Reviews on the Greta seem to be relatively mixed...though soem don't seem to get the point of it. Westy got one back whent hey came out - might be worth asking him his thoughts for a first hand account.
Lets be honest the speaker is likely to sound boxy whatever. I wonder if there any decent mods? Maybe there is such a thing as a small speaker designed for fucking awesome sound quality.
One cool thing with it though is running it through an external cab.....my idea here would be to make a decorative thing for my lounge. Make the cab look like a 50's retro TV set with the greta sat on top. Like this, but more in line with the Greta looks:
I used to love my little pignose amp, it was very useful to have around the house and funnily enough I used to run my MP3 player through it when i had a bath - no plug sockets in the bathroom y'see?

The only thing that has kept me from buying one of these is the rather important issue of whether or not the stereo aux in is summed to mono output. I can't seem to find any information on this, and I've seen devices like this before that only pass L or R through -- totally useless.

That would be perfect... but $1000 for a speaker cab to match my amp is a bit pricey.
I'd rather spend $170 on
this, which looks equally retro and fitting with the 'pawn shop' vibe.

The Greta's is pretty cack to be honest. If it was offered to me for £50 I wouldn't take it.
There are much better options out there. Orange Micro Terror, Diago Little Smasher, Blackstar HT1 etc etc...

I lost the love for mine. The tonal difference between my first one (which was defective) and my second one (as well as the others I subsequently tried) was noticeable enough that I don't want one anymore
My AC15 and a pedal do the Britty brits for me now.
I am looking at the Greta as a tube preamp as well. Or a cool looking ipod speaker.

I think the Greta sounds pretty shit, honestly. There are great deals to be had right now, and I think Greta's more of a case of they're selling poorly more than actually a great deal.

Well, I received it, and I liked it. It sounds like playing through an old tube radio... which I think was the point. I plugged it into a 2x12 cab, and it opened it up quite a bit... like that it sounds almost Fender-y.
I swapped out the tubes for a set of broken-in Sovtek 12AX7 and 12AT7's I had lying around the house, which did improve the tone quite a bit- louder, more headroom. I definitely plan on experimenting with different tubes. It's quite weird having the 12AT7 as the power tube, I have to admit, but on the plus side, they're not that expensive. I've got a TAD 7025 on the way for the preamp, and an NOS GE 12AT7.
Anyway, I also tried it as a tube preamp, and that's where it shines. I put it in front of my Kustom Defender, and I had the Led Zeps going on.
I left it turned on all night last night as an ipod speaker, so now the speaker should be nice and broken in... I can't wait to plug into it and have a go after work.
Also, I've got a Peavey Classic 30 cab coming in on a trade, which should look nice and retro with the Greta on top.

I wanted it, but it's limited to 300, none were shipped to PR, and none of the retailers that offer free (or even reasonably priced) shipping to PR have it for sale

That cab looks sweet. If that's birch, well, I'd rip out that G12P-80 in a heartbeat, but otherwise it'd be a great cab.
