Anyone tried one of these acoustics? They look like Martin copies but for cheap!

000M-15 - £220

00M-15S - £299
Pretty tasty. Solid tops.

They're the Asian import versions of Martin, sort of a Squier-Fender relationship, but not as awesome.
They're decent, from my experience. Nothing special, but also not garbage

Ah ok, that makes sense. I've always wanted one of those mahogany martin guitars and was surprised by how close these looked to the real thing.

I've got an early 70's japanese one (a dm-5). It's a really great guitar, plays better than my friend's newer martin.

The old ones were made by Martin overseas. They were actually very good. All were made to Martin specs with Asian lumber. The country of origin changed over the years. Recently the "Sigma" name was purchased by a German company, which started making them again. I do not think there is any affiliation with Martin any more.
