Custom cut control plates

Hey. Does anyone know where I can get a custom plate cut or if anyone on here can do it? I contacted stereordinary but he won't have anything like I want available until 5 months... A little too long to wait. But I basically want a mustang vibrato plate with the six string cut outs for it to be hardtailed. Like what he has made.

Dude, make it yourself! Scrap metal yards pay $0.10 a pound, they'll sell you anything for $0.20 a pound.
Buy a drill bit that can handle drilling through metal. Use a drill press and use some drilling oil to help lubricate the bit and keep it from burning out. Use a center punch and hammer to mark all your holes, so the drill bit has a indentation to follow. Cut the tremolo plate out using a hacksaw, final shape it with a file and grinder. Polish it out or drop it off at the chrome shop.

Stereordinary's stuff is worth the wait. Especially if it is the custom mustang stop tail you mentioned on OSG. You want the stop tail to be sturdy so strings aren't popping out under tension. That crap hurts!

Well I really want from him but 5 months seems like forever. Ad have you seen one of these plates? How well do they work? The strings don't pop out at all?

My god that is cool.
What I want is a bridge that swaps out for a strat trem to easily make it a hard-tail and cover the holes elegantly.

Are you looking to hardtail a new body or an existing Mustang? I just used a Musicmaster bridge which has a similar shape to the Stang bridge, but strings through the body like a Tele. It won't cover the vibrato routes on a mustang but it is completely compatible with mustang pickguards.

Ive made a few now outta domestic electrical blanking plates..they're about £1over here in Blighty..just had to use an angle grinder to cut it out tho...watch those fingers!!!
