I'm thinking that the strangle switch may have been soldered to be permanently on. Either that or these pickups are thinner than Squier affinities.

Not sure on that. I do know the pickup switches were soldered backwards when I got it, so I changed that. I didn't check the strangle. That tuno-stoptail could be used as a buzz stop as well... by mounting it on backwards.
