I'm guessing it's more for search manipulation than anything; he seems to know what he's talking about.

My next door neighbor in college had a blue agave MIM Standard Strat and it was the worst piece of shit I ever played. Gross-ass neck specs.

MIM Standard Strats suck in general. Had a blindfold test with my friend (who needs the head to say Fender without judging it as crap) between a MIM Strat and a Squier Deluxe Strat and he preferred the Squier.

Still trying to convince him that Squiers are decent guitars beyond the Bullet and Affinity lines.

it all depends. some of the best playing strats I've ever played are MIM strats. From my experiences, Fender usually are better quality. Worth double the price? I can see that as a valid argument, but to just write off the MIM strats as crap, isn't giving them a fair chance. All of that said, if I was in the market for a strat, there is no reason to buy anything other than a classic vibe.

Cv over mim erry got damn day

Every example. I even had a cv custom tele and a 00s mim tele opened up side by side and the quality difference was crazy. No contest

To be honest, I've even played some fantastic Bullet and Affinity Series guitars. Obviously they're just a lot more hit and miss.

MIM Standard is still subpar.

I think that is too general a statement. Perhaps you narrow it down to a certain timeframe.

This is utter hogwash.

Ha, I guess that statement could be taken the wrong way (I also retract my earlier statement of "MIM Standard Strats suck in general, I was being a bit extreme). Sorry for the confusion.

MIM Standard guitars are still good, but in my opinion and from my experience, I prefer high end Squiers such as the Classic Vibe series and the Deluxe Strats. Of course, every guitar is perfectly playable with careful set up, but every player has their own preferences concerning gear, I suppose.

In short, sorry for being a dickbag. My opinions are exactly that, not facts.

No yeah, that point still remains true. Not apologizing for that. I am apologizing for my dickish remarks generalizing about the quality of the MIM Standard Strats.

my first tele was an affinity series, i loved the neck, and the feel of the overal guitar was great. the tuners were am.st. fender tho... i think that was all the "modding" that had been done before i unleashed my own sort of hell upon the beast.
