Came upon a Squier Stagemaster today which I kind of like, but I'm looking for opinions from people who have played them before. It's in good condition- no scratches or marks although it's missing the spring cover on the back. It's obviously a metal axe, and I don't play any metal, but I like the reverse headstock and I think the price is fair (they'll take $85 for it). Besides the fingerboard having massive amounts of grease and dirt it's in great shape. Is it one-dimensional, or can you get unique sounds out of it? The shop didn't have an amp to plug it in.

It's a gunmetal color with metallic flake which is hard to pick up in the shit photos. Neck is in great shape.

I like them, have a Deluxe set-neck model.
This one is one of the entry models though so i'm not sure how the quality compares.
