EHX Ravish Sitar

I got one a few days ago. I'm figuring out some sweet spots but i was wondering if anyone uses one. I was also wondering if anyone plays a real sitar? The effect won't really nail a sitar but the sounds "feel" like a sitar if that makes sense. It does many other things and the sitar gimmick is only a touch on the capabilities it has. I'm learning that it really sounds great with short chromatic runs and bent strings sound amazing. Right now i am running it through 2 amps. It has a lead out and a sympathetic strings out. I'm running the lead through a mesa subway rocket and the sympathetic/drone out to a little vox ac-4. I'm using nothing in the chain of the lead and a small clone before the vox. I may switch the drones into my little tube pignose and see what happens. That pignose is really fuzzy. The effect is super sensitive to playing styles and actually playing with a pick and playing with your fingers sounds totally different. If you attack it too hard it gets very synthy and the swells change. It's cool though. I am digging it. I tracked it on bass too and it wasn't sitar sounding but it had it's own unique weirdness with the drones behind it.

I have been listening to everything i tracked on guitar the last few days and i figured out why it sounds so familiar. Almost everything i played sounds like a mix between Robbie Krieger's guitar and Ray Manzarak's organ sounds on the end. I wasn't playing that, i don't think. I was playing an original but it definitely has that sound. I like it more now.
