Pedaltrain

I'm thinking of getting a Pedaltrain 1, the ability to have really tidy pedalboard appeals. Just wondered if anyone knows how many Boss size pedals will realistically fit on one? Also they don't seem to do this model with a soft case, anyone know why?

Nothin' to 'em. I'd just go to IKEA or Home Depot and sort something out if that were what I wanted, especially if you're eyeing one that doesn't come with a soft case.

It comes with a hard case rather than a soft case.

A pedaltrain 2 is only slightly larger and comes with the soft case.

go to a thrift shop.
find a briefcase.
find some plywood or mdf or something
screw that shit to the bottom
add pedals
done!
I did this for years. did it mostly with a band called sirens where i had two of the same.(same pedals in each)
incase anything went wrong i could switch ou the whole thing.
i did it for a while with aen in the ronald raygun, but then he and another fella gave me a legit pedal case.

i instantly thought this the first time i saw them but i do still want one. id never (be able to) spend that on a board but if i had it id probably splash out.

the ruggedness and neatness appeals to me.

I'm not saying it's not incredible marketing.

All the cool HCFXer pedalfreaks are all about this stuff.

they're a big hit with anyone who fetishizes pedals.

they're Â£30-Â£50 more than the Diago equivalent (which is it's own hardcase rather than soft bag thingie) and considerably more than the Warwick style boards you can get on Thomann.de

I think my own design is better than the Pedaltrain stuff, to be honest.

Why spend Â£Â£Â£'s when you can make something almost identical for next to nothing.

I have 2 pedaltrains and I also made my own pedal board as well.

I know the Pedaltrain is very simple, but that is what I like about it. Hard and soft cases are made well. I like having the PP2 under my Pro board.

The board I built became a chord mess and very heavy.

Got my Pedaltrain pro off Craigslist and Pedaltrain mini from GC on sale.

Hard to argue with any points anyone has made so far. I have no financial regrets, but years ago I opted for the PT2 with hard case for no reason other than I wanted a more solid solution than the briefcase deal I was using and I had admitted to myself I didn't have the discipline to set aside time to make something better. At the time, there also wasn't a lot of mass-market competition stateside here for anything as well-built at that price.

If you have the time and the will and are not often throwing your gear around like a drunk monkey, take the train to Manland and built that shit.

I got a PedalTrain Pro in a hard case. It weighs more than me. Got a good deal on it, so I'm not that bothered, but there has to be something better out there. Lighter and less spendy.
