Refinish on Supersonic

So, my blue sparkle Supersonic got damaged during a gig last week. Since it can't be fixed I've got two options: leave it damaged s it is, or have it refinished.
If you had the chance, what colour would you paint your Supersonic? I was thinking Daphne Blue or Lake Placid Blue.
Any thoughts on this?

How badly is the paint damaged? Can't you just ignore the ding? All refins are terrible, never look as good as the factory paintjob and halve the value of your guitar.

Relic'd! For free!
That being said, I refinished one in coral pink, and I'd like a daphne blue one.

If you're going to do it, do it in Sea Foam green. people love sea foam green.
If not green, make it One of the rare fender colors at the very least.

Again, how damaged is damaged? Sparkle finishes are surprisingly forgiving; they'll hide a lot. There's a huge ding in mine from being dropped on my basement floor (how I learned why straplocks exist) where the clear coat is all cracked, but you have to get really close before you can actually see it. The original Super-Sonics and original sparkle finishes are desirable enough that unless the damage is really appalling, you'd be better off leaving it as is.

What about drop filling it? Stewmac offers a good tutorial on drop filling to repair a ding.
