I was wondering if I could fit one of these onto a Squier VM Jag? Would the string spacing work? Is there any other low profile roller bridges that would work just as good or better? Would I have to shim or drill out anything to properly use it? How many roads must a man walk down before you can call him a man?

as it says in the description its meant for a gibson string spacing so it won't be the normal f-spaced feel that you may have grown accustomed to. but then again, you may like that feel better, and just becuz the strings don't sit exactly above the pole pieces doesnt mean the sound will be that noticeable anyway.
as far as the posts are concerned i know you will be able to make it fit, but you may have to do some on the fly thinking. perhaps gridning off the threads of the posts. or removing the original cups and putting in gibby style posts. honestly, buy it, try it, and if there are any issues. try to come up with a creative solution. or post it up here, someone may have a nice lil suggestion that will work out swimmingly.

since it fit in his mustang without mods (not counting the neck shim), i assume it should be the same with my jaguar?

Maybe check with him first as that mustang has a TOM from the factory. The thimbles could be different to the vm jag ones.

Just out of curiosity, why are you not satisfied with the stock bridge?

The Squier Jag bridge is really shit. I am tired of having to keep adjusting the bridge 4 hours later.

My other option is to try flatwounds, and the only store that carries them around here charges like 26 dollars for them, which is just a little less than the bridge shipped.

that exact bridge fits in my squier mustang so i'm going to say yes, without any drilling at all

however, you will need to shim the neck a lot, i mean like crazy, or grind the bridge plate down or something. i used a 5p piece and it still wasn't enough (thickish and very small coin). it is taller than even a normal tom bridge.

in the end i just used 2 cheap tuner bushings from an affinity strat. works absolutely fine and is a perfect fit with the original bridge and locks it in place.

if you like i can send you two bushings in the post for free if you don't want to go down the roller route yet. there's also loctite to stop the grubs moving, and filing your preferred notch deeper to stop string jump
