eBay Musicmaster still w. pickguard plastic

Post by Sidney Vicious »

Still has the protective plastic on the pickguard!

(I own a '76 twin of that guitar - but note that mine is a Music Master - two words - and has no skunk stripe. Maybe the auction one is later in that year?)

holey shit!

but they're lying! "full-length neck" ?!

there's a store in mexico city that still has some NOS (never sold!) fender there, but for exhibit only. mustang basses, strats and a tele thinline. all in the "international colors" - fuck i've been making dirty offers since forever... but while the owner (old man) is alive, nothing will happen. his kids want to sell that stuff that's only taking space in the window.
they also have NOS rhodes pianos (small, normal and big ones) and rogers drumsets.

fuck.
my name is Pat.

The serial number is definitely a '76 - that's one of the earliest examples of the serial number on the headstock I've ever seen - most date from '77 onward.

I have a '75 with no skunk stripe. They were still calling them Music Masters at that time too. I'm pretty sure that when they switched to the serial number on the headstock, they switched back to the Musicmaster moniker.

I reckon they mean as opposed to 22.75. Have seen this in MM/Duo auctions before. But yeah, poorly worded for sure.

That's cool as hell. Some days I'd probably be nutty enough to pay a grand for it too.
