So long 2.0 I wasn't jiving with you anymore. Maybe one day I shall avenge you and make an improved Jag-Stang 3.0!

I traded her for a near mint American Standard Tele. Loving it. It plays sooo beautifully. Pickguard ideas? I am thinking b/w/b.

Came with the hard shell case too.
Picsssss.

I would've have kept it... I really liked that guitar !!

Standard is a solid bit of kit though !! and pretty decent exchange price-wise I guess.

There were things I really didn't like about that guitar. I'll hit it on the head next go round. But this tele is great.

I did that with the Telemaster I built... I thought it'd be the guitar of all guitars... but rarely played it and went for the Jag.

Glad you're happy with the Tele... I recon you should get a tort guard... 8) I always think the white on black looks cheap to me.

It's a beauty- like the color combo

I like it as is but B/W/B would look nice. Also the right tort maybe.

Congrats!

Maple neck and black body? It's already perfect, but you simply can't lose with classic guard colors.

Mint/Parchment
B/W/B
Dark brown tort (though maybe a better match for a rosewood board)

Black and tort is a classic combo but it doesn't suit a tele, it needs a sleeker guitar like a strat or better yet a jazzmaster. Similar to how it looks classy on a Jazz bass but clumsy on a Precision.

Gold anodized can look good, though might not work with the maple fretboard. It works on a P Bass but I can't find an image of a tele.

Wish it had binding! :o

Yeah the binding on my dads Squier CV sunburst tele makes it look titsamundo. One of the best teles I've played.

So true.

Like the idea of the anod guard, might consider that for mine.

This is the same colour scheme as my US Tele, although I put a B/W/B pickguard on it to make it look a bit more post-punk.

I had a 78 Mustang (all black, obviously) and it just didn't jive with me. I called it the Old Hag because I knew I'd never love it.
