Looks like a very close replica, even down to the 'plays like an old shelf' fretboard.

now that's doing an obscure vintage reissue the right way! I'd love one of those.

But wait there's more from the Framus Custom Shop!

"In order to make for you the choice between the individual components a little simpler, we tried here to give you an overview of the different options and possibilities. Select by yourself the body wood, neck wood and fingerboard wood, the hardware and its colour, the pick up style and tone, electronics, one of the alternate bridges or even add some LEDs or inlays to ornate your axe´s fingerboard."

I don't understand what you guys mean. the pickups are in a sort of fanned out arrangement, that's how the original is.

I normally like crackers looking guitars, but that is bloody 'orrible. Reminds me of the car that gets burnt out in Planes, Trains, & Automobiles.

Awful guitar. I think that you lot should fire bomb Dresden again.

Just looks odd, and plays with your eyes if you don't know the guitar. Have to say it looks better non-gold, though it does have that shitty serviceman look to it.

The bridge angle looks pretty standard, narrower abr style TOM's are frequently angled like that for intonation. See any old Les Paul or SG.

Reissue purports to have the original's "organ effect" though I don't know if that just means the spring-loaded volume swell knob with the pinky lever.

You guys want the moon on a stick! I think it's a pretty decent and faithful reissue of a quirky and cool looking guitar. Admittedly all that gold will look nicer once it's worn-in a bit.

Wish they'd reissue this black one!

The black one looks nice. All the metal on the other one reminds me of that hideous prehistoric guitar that dude made on here ages ago. Like something a Steampunk character would play.

BTW: as for my question about the pickups it was an honest one. I don't know much about these guitars and thought the pic might have been one of those messed up photoshop images.
