It looks a little too dandy
We need more shoreline gold in general though

Sounds Amazing. Def the sound I'm looking for at the minute.
I A-B'd the American Cabronita and the Mexican one on saturday and I much prefer the mex TV jones rip offs, to the real thing.

Was half expecting to see this image at the end of that video... in the way it was shot and the location of it...... with the words "I'm out".

Throw a bigsby on it and my chubby would become a full-on steely dan.

I want to love Cabronitas, but they look so borken to me. And Fender have put a cack pickup in there. And there's no tone knob.

?? Have you tried one ?
I didn't think so, I preferred it to the Genuine Filtertron, but perhaps you don't like these pickups generally ?

I love Filtertrons, but it's one of the bobbins (no pun intended) ones they put in the Gretsch reissues, that look like the real deal but just sound generic.
(see also Widerange pickups).

I think the cheapo filtertrons sound good. Not like filtertrons, but hardly shit.
Saw some cheap ones on a French ebay site a while back for something like £15 or so with a look like the recent Gretsch Jet revamps, with open face but only a single row of polepieces where on the actual Gretsch guitars there are two. Kind of intrigued as I've been fairly impressed with cheap pickups recently.

My flatmate has a black Mexi one, it's pretty rad.

Saw these yesterday, I'm definitely going to have to try one out! It would be the perfect guitar for me to gig with, allowing me to leave my precious white falcon at home.
+1 on the bigsby idea, wouldn't be hard to fit either

Eff-holed El Cabron's cousin hijacks-the-thread-time.
Would be cooler with vintage bridge rather than this bulky Leo Quan-type, but I surely wouldn't refuse it if it got thrown at me. The CAR is probably best thing to a non-existant white blond on ash. Digging the contours as well.
