there is an eau claire wisconsin group by the name of larkks, i think it has two k's anyway.

with venues shutting down (its the Crofts turn next week :( ) and there seeming to be a policy of only booking local bands to support slots in other venues its pretty difficult. You could try the good folks at Mothers Ruin & Exchange though.

Shame, Bristol always had a vibrant music scene when I lived down that way, Is the Beerkeller still going? Ashton Court festival still happen?

beerkeller still there but not sure if it does gigs. Ashton Court Festival folded but now there is Brisfest there. There is a great music scene going still. Just seems to be a few venues are struggling.
