who needs a rotary switch?

someone recently was looking for a rotary switch for a project. right now on guitarparts resources they are blowing out a geniune fender rotary switch, the fucking thing has like 20 contact points tho.

i'd caution against that. without lugs with holes and the proximity of everything it'd be a shitfest. but i'm not a seasoned solderer so

Speaking of which, I just picked up a XII neck for $20--but it's not Fender. In fact, it's tiny, like 18 or 19 inches. From the nut down it looks like Fender. I was thinking I might build some kind of octave mandolin with a mini hockey stick on top. Those white dots are gross. I can hide the two drill holes at the bottom. Who knows if it will intonate for shit, but it will make some kind of sound.

What is the measurement from nut to 12th fret.

Here is a,six position, four pole rotary switch I used on my build. I got it from eBay and the guy sent me three of them for some reason. So if anyone needs an extra. I also have a 5 position 4 pole sitting around doing nothing.

Well the pole # determines how many pups you can hook to it, and the pole position is how many selections you have. You can be as creative as you want from there. With my 4 pole 6 position switch I put the four single coils from two humbuckers. So I have BHB, BSC, BSC + NSC, BHB + NHB, NSC and NHB. But you can do other things if you want.
