Where do you see that? The specs for the Jazz bass say:

Huh, so are these basically like the replacements for what used to be a typical MIM Fender? I walked into GC the other day to check out some Squirers and was amazed to see that the Standard series is a lot nicer than it used to be, and that some Fender models are made in China now

On the Nevada music web page:
The Squier Affinity Jazz Bass features a composite body with a polyurethane finish (an exact copy of the Fender's dimensions) and a Maple C-shaped neck with Rosewood fingerboard.

i saw something like this about a month ago at guitar center, except they had lipsticks in them, and they were shortscale..... but they were deff shell pink, and a daphne blue sort of color. tho the finish on the neck rivaled that of my j.s. really really really nice finish.

i want shell pink too but i dont want the dry-ass sharp fret neck that the affinitys have! if they brought the neck up to VM standards i'd be all over it tho

I think they mean it's made from several pieces rather than plastic.
