Fender Bronco

Post by smokes »

Was wondering if anyone could please help me:

What's the value on a Fender Bronco in the UK? They seem to me to be rarer and less popular than the other Fender shortscales... though I've seen the tremolo units sell for quite a bit on their own.

Would £520 be a good price for a all original 1975 Bronco in good condition? It has a crack in the pickguard by the jack socket, and a small bit cracked off one saddle, but the saddle still functions fine. The guitar plays really nicely!

There's not really enough on eBay to really conclude much... but £520 is okay innit?

it's not a bargain or anything, but since arctic monkeys guy started playing one they seemed to creep up towards the £500 mark. personally i'd save up a couple of hundred more and get a 60s mustang or duo-sonic II.

Stewart - in my quest for Bronco knowledge I read that the Arctic Monkeys guy had his Bronco stolen  Also if I found a good condition 60s Mustang in the UK for £700 ish I'd be all over it LIKE CHEESE ON A BIG MAC.

The tremolo on the Bronco seems really amazing and solid. In fact I'd go as far as to say it's the best trem I've ever tried... but then I've only used Mustng and Strat style ones.

Rob, is it you with the turquoise Bronco?

Ha, I'm familiar with that thread and the pictures of your guitar! Just wasn't sure who it belonged to. It's truly beautiful. I've also seen a sonic blue one with jag pups on shortscale - that one and your one are the prettiest broncos i've seen

There's one on offset just now. Original dakota red too. I'm very surprised it hasn't been snatched up yet.

Damn it! Dunno if they too also have the 50 post requirement to access the classifieds, 50 posts in one day might be excessive :D

Here's the Bronco:
