Another build thread...lipsticks in a DS/MM... tried 'em?

Painting? Routing? Set-up tips? Or just straight-up making a guitar from scratch? Post here, and post pics!

Howdy all...

Well, as fast I got started with my first Duo Sonic project another unexpectedly fell in my lap... funny how that goes. Hmm, that almost makes it sound like it wasn't my fault but it most definitely was. I low bid another late 60's DS/MM body and to my surprise got it. Of course, that was followed by the purchase of a '74 MM neck with repro tuners. I got a great deal on both and this project will have to take a back seat to the first but In any case, I was wondering if anyone has experience using the GFS lipsticks in a DS/MM... perhaps Seymour Duncan makes them too but w/o looking I don't remember. Any thoughts? I was thinking they might be a fun match for the next project

Good to know, thanks. I've used some GFS stuff in the past and been happy enough with it... they didn't blow me away but were a huge improvement over the pups they replaced. They're a pretty good deal too at $30 bucks a pop... hard to beat that. From the sound clips I heard they sound nice...

the "new" project has me rethinking my "old" project as far as which body to mate with which neck and which pups to install where. I guess I'll figue it all out when it gets here.
